Analyze and be hard on yourself, because this should be one of your big motivators to finally make that plunge to a healthier lifestyle.
What are your achievable goals?
When beginning a weight loss plan it is a clever idea to write your goals down. Don’t just think in terms of your final goals, but of all the steps it will take to get there. Setting big goals is important but can be discouraging if you don’t meet them. Setting smaller goals will help to keep you motivated to keep pushing forward towards the next goal. If your goal is to lose fifty pounds, try setting goals in five-pound increments.
Celebrate and reward yourself with each goal you meet and have an ultimate reward for when you reach your major goal. Using goals can be quite motivating, but make sure that you are realistic about them.

You might cringe at the idea, but before you begin your weight loss journey take a picture of yourself in your underwear or a bathing suit. Of course, this picture is only for you, but it can serve as a good visual reminder of how far you have come. It can be hard to really remember what you looked like before your weight loss transformation. As much as you despise the picture of your former self, it will give you a private sense of pride, and motivate you to always watch your weight.
